I called the Virgin Atlantic Flying Club (+1 800 365 9500) line today in order to transfer my Flying Club miles to Hilton HHonors points. As I was being transferred to the appropriate agent, Marvin Gaye’s “I Heard Through the Grapevine” came on. I’ve got an old soul, so this was definitely my cup of tea. I was quite surprised to have heard this song. Being the dork that I am, I was singing along and I’m glad that I had myself on mute when the customer service agent finally picked up.
I prefer ANY music over those voice recordings that most airlines have – you know, the ones that remind you that you can do so many things on their website?

Within 30 days, I will have 100,000 Hilton HHonors points, which I will eventually use to redeem 2 nights at the Conrad Koh Sumui in Thailand, where the cheapest rate is usually $800+ USD for a one-bedroom waterfront villa with a private “infinity pool”.
